Dorset Segways would like you to feel welcome and to enjoy expert tuition from qualified instructors. We know how much our customers look forward to their Experiences and our terms of business have been carefully written to ensure that there are no misunderstandings which could detract from your enjoyment.

Your Commitment
Dorset Segway asks that you arrive early on the scheduled date of your Experience and register for your Experience at the scheduled check in time. Dorset Segways cannot permit anyone to participate in an Experience without attending the preceding briefing, so it is essential that you arrive on time. By registering for your experience, you warrant to Dorset Segways that you have not consumed any alcohol or drugs prior to your experience which may affect your ability to participate in the Experience. You confirm that you have read and fully understand the relevant age, height and weight requirements applicable to the relevant experience you are taking and warrant to Dorset Segways that you comply with such requirements. If you have any questions or believe that you may not comply with the above requirements, please call the Dorset Segways Contact Centre Team on 0118 3341807 to discuss what alternative arrangements (if any) are available.
In exceptional circumstances when the Instructor deems that any rider/partcipant in an Experience is unable to: (a) accept instruction, (b) adhere to safety rules, (c) remain in full control of their vehicle, (d) makes contact with another vehicle, (e) is involved in an accident, (f) or behaves in an inappropriate or unacceptable manner, the session may be curtailed immediately at the discretion of the Duty Manager and/or the Instructor. The safety of all participants Experiences is of paramount importance.
Your safety
Dorset Segways, have many years’ experience of operating tours. This means that we operate within the strict guidelines and safety procedures as laid down by the Segway manufacturer.
General participant guidelines
This experience is not suitable for people with bad back or necks or pregnant women.  If you have any other disabilities or medical conditions, please telephone the office before your experience to notify us, as this experience may not be suitable Tel 0118 3341807
Dorset Segways reserves the right to refuse any person from taking part in any activity.
Segway guidelines
Minimum age for Segway’s is 12 years old, and a minimum weight of 7 stone (45 KGS). Maximum weight 18 stone (115 KGS)
Please note the minimum and maximum weights are for your safety as the Segway will not perform safely outside these limits. If the instructor is in any doubt you may be asked to be weighed. Remember this is for your safety!
Participants under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 years on the tour.
Session length
Where the duration of an Experience is mentioned in any brochure, by Dorset Segway’s Contact Centre Team or their agents, this is an approximate time given as a guide only. Unless specifically stated otherwise, you will normally take your Experience with other participants such that instruction may be shared with other pupils and there may also be some waiting time involved. Please note that any photography used in connection with experiences (i.e. brochures) is for illustrative purposes only.
Dress code
Please dress for the outdoors! Warm clothes if it’s cold, light footwear, trainers or walking boots are good, and a waterproof jacket. Long trousers are a good idea even if it’s hot. If you have your own gloves and cycle helmet please bring them with you.
Upton Park  has toilet facilities, including easy access, and a café on site for refreshments and snacks.
Dorset Segways must receive a minimum of fourteen days’ notice of cancellation or re-booking prior to the event date, otherwise charges will apply.
Cancellation of the event or non-arrival on the day will result in your voucher being forfeit.  Should you wish to rebook, the full value of the session is payable to Dorset Segways at the current rate.
Dorset Segways may cancel or re-schedule an event at any time prior to, or on the event day for safety reasons, severe weather conditions or changes in the schedule.
Dorset Segways cannot accept any responsibility for any losses or costs incurred for travel or accommodation due to a cancellation, postponement or changes made in your booking.
The experience is weather dependant and any cancellations are for your own safety.   If Dorset Segways  is unable to run your Experience due to weather conditions or other events beyond Dorset Segway’s control you will be able to re-book your Experience for a later date/time.
You must contact us on 0118 3341807 within 14 days of your cancelled date in order to rebook your Experience. Next available dates will be given within the validity of your voucher, or if your voucher has expired you will be offered the next available date.
No refunds will be given.
Any complaints arising from participation or otherwise in connection with any Experience must be received in writing by Dorset Segways within 7 days of the Experience being taken. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dorset Segways will not consider any complaints received after that period.
